Graphology Background
My initial interest in handwriting analysis started when I was eight years old and I bought a couple of books on graphology.
On returning to England, after teaching overseas for many years, I studied handwriting analysis intensively under the eminent British graphologist, the late Frank Hilliger.
Hilliger became the first chairman of the British Institute of Graphologists when it was founded in 1983. As one of a handful of founding members, I served the Institute voluntarily for ten years, first as Secretary General of the Management Committee, then as Education Officer, and finally as Chairman of the Examination Board. I helped to establish the high standards for which the B. I. G. is known today. A stimulating and entertaining teacher and lecturer is how others describe me. I have also taught a three year Diploma Course in Graphology at several Adult Educational Centres, and at Roehampton Institute, which is affiliated to the University of Surrey. I have played a big part in developing widespread interest in graphology in the British Isles and abroad. To meet the growing interest in graphology, I then developed the first - so far the only - three year Correspondence Course in graphology, so that students could study for the B.I.G. Diploma at home and at their own pace. Launched in September 1989, this course helped many students spread over four continents, to further their knowledge of handwriting analysis to the high standard required to earn a B.I.G. Diploma. In addition, I use my own skills as a graphologist to advise companies on Personnel Selection and Staff Development, and to help individuals in need of Vocational Guidance or Compatibility Assessment. People interested in developing themselves to the full also find my graphological analyses very helpful.
I am known at home and abroad for my many appearances on the BBC and national TV programmes, I have also been the subject of feature articles in the local and national press.
